Vee Blalock-Morton is the mother of two sons and two daughters and resides with her husband, at their home on Lake Tillery in North Carolina. Vee enjoys Golf, Fishing and Reading.

Andy Anderson serves as Marketing Coordinator and Webmaster. He also serves as a technical writer and course developer.  He has twenty nine years banking experience as Vice President of Home Federal Savings and Loan Association and First Charter National Bank which is now Fifth Third Bank.  Andy has been an instructor for the Institute of Financial Education teaching various banking classes with an emphasis on Individual Retirement Accounts.  Andy has also worked for a small manufacturing company in the Charlotte area.  He is a native of Charlotte where he and his wife live.  Andy has been a local musician playing drums and percussion for his entire adult life.  He plays jazz, commercial ballroom dance music and is a church musician.

Darin Helms is an Instructor with Morton Associates.  He comes to us with over 11 years experience in the financial services industry including banking, investments, insurance and lending. Prior to banking and financial services, Darin worked in the telecom industry. He brings a vast knowledge of banking and lending to Morton Associates. Darin resides in Matthews, NC with his wife and two daughters.

W. Hugh Harkey has been in the mortgage industry since 1998 and has been the principal since 2000 in a Charlotte area institution. In addition, Hugh is active in financial planning and fundraising. Mr. Harkey has an avid interest in history especially local history. He is an award winning writer who has authored several books about Charlotte history including Tales from the Hornet's Nest, Greetings from Charlotte, More Tales from the Hornet's Nest and Greetings from Charleston. Hugh is also the owner of Hornet's Nest Productions, a company specializing in tours, lectures, art and publications related to the history of the Carolinas. Mr. Harkey has won many awards including being commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Ernie Fletcher and the Order of the Long Leaf Pine (the highest civilian award for NC) by Governor M. Easley. Hugh enriches the community by sharing his interests and expertise by teaching at local colleges and now as a consultant with Morton Associates in our mortgage division.
